Lille Metropole will host a seminar on soil health on the 19th of March 2025!

Mark your calendars for a dynamic seminar on soil health and territorial resilience

With 45% of its territory being cultivated land, and having recently adopted a new Metropolitan Agriculture and Food Strategy, Lille Metropole is actively committed to supporting local agriculture and quality food for all. The metropole is also very active in looking for innovative ways to develop urban agriculture, thanks to the projects like fertile neighborhoods. Lille Metropole is working on several national and European programs to transform the legacy of an industrial past characterized by large amounts of polluted soils into a new reality of sustainable urban development.

In this context, Lille Metropole is closely following the development of the EU Mission “a soil deal for Europe” and will organise on 19 March the soil health seminar “from degraded soils to territorial resilience”. This seminar will provide an update on the soil mission and the network of 100 Living labs, highlight some of the soil mission's leading projects and integrate workshops to identify new opportunities for cooperation. You will find all the practical details below.

To confirm your attendance, please send an email to EUoffice@lillemetropole.fr and kindly include your name, organisation and position. We look forward to seeing you there!
