FIESTA - 7th thematic edition of lille3000

With ‘Fiesta’, lille3000 is transforming Lille Metropole and the surrounding region into a bubbling cultural laboratory, with parades, exhibitions, participatory projects and shows.

Celebration: a unifying theme

The 2025 edition of the festival is designed to create social links through its parades, balls, carnivals and participatory events, offering a space for people to meet and express themselves. It's a celebration of freedom and diversity. With ‘Fiesta’, lille3000 is committed to a process of sharing and appropriating culture for all, by involving local inhabitants in artistic creation.

A bridge between cultures and territories

With the choice of the term ‘Fiesta’, this year's event is designed to open up to influences from the South and to celebrate cultural wealth. The event brings together not only the cultural facilities of Lille Metropole and the surrounding region, but also local residents, NGOs and artists. Through close collaboration, lille3000 offers an accessible and inclusive programme designed to reach audiences far removed from traditional cultural circuits.

A source of art and tourist attraction

The 2025 edition will focus on artistic cross-disciplinarity and creativity inspired by the festival. Major parades, urban exhibitions and participatory projects will punctuate the event, echoing international collaborations, notably with Brazil. The aim is twofold: to position Lille and its region as a must-see tourist destination, while offering residents a festive and cultural summer, even for those who don’t have the opportunity to go away on holiday.

The opening parade: a whirlwind of colour and rhythm

  • Save the date : Saturday 26 April 2025, Lille

Since 2006, every major edition of lille3000 has begun with an emblematic opening celebration. This new thematic season will be no exception, culminating in a grand parade through the heart of Lille. Designed as a participatory event, it will invite local residents to get involved in the months leading up to the celebrations, in neighbourhoods and towns across the metropole.

From 7.30pm, the public will be able to follow a spectacular procession featuring floats, musicians, dancers and giant live performance companies. It's a magical experience for all ages, culminating in a fireworks display on the Esplanade du Champ de Mars.

Lille Metropole in the colours of Fiesta

Building on the success of Utopia in 2022, which mobilised the 95 municipalities of Lille Metropole (2nd largest public funder of the Fiesta project), lille3000 is renewing this collaborative approach. A programme co-constructed with local authorities, cultural stakeholders, artists, NGOs and residents will bring this new theme to life as close as possible to the local area.

The programme features a wealth of cultural and artistic players, including :

La Compagnie du Tire-Laine, Métalu A Chahuter, In Illo Tempore, La Cantina, Alimentation Générale, Transport Culturel Fluvial, Compagnie Biscoitinho, La Companÿa, Rayo de Son, La Boussole, Rosa Bonheur, Compagnie Détournoyment, La Roulotte Ruche, Jazz en Nord, L’Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing, L’Estafette, Collectif Renart, Ukulélé Boboys, Vincent Warin et la Cie 3.6/3.4, Le Huit Renversé, Association Le Fil et La Guinde, La Création Continue !, La Compagnie Joker, Le Vent du Riatt, Les Rencontres Audiovisuelles, Les Beaux Jours, La Cave aux Poètes, Le Gymnase CDCN, Le Grand Mix, Les Espaces Naturels Métropolitains, as well as media centers and libraries…

The MuMo on tour across the city...

From the 27th of April to the 30th of July, the MuMo (Mobile Museum) will be making a comeback and touring the city with a brand new exhibition specially designed for Fiesta. ‘Pump up the volume’ invites participants to discover the links between music and contemporary art. The exhibition brings together a variety of artistic forms (posters, videos, photographs, sculptures, drawings, paintings and performances) to explore how music moves us and affects us. The aim? To create a dialogue between the eye and the ear, a piece of music or a canvas, an instrument or a visual technique.

Fiesta

A travelling planetarium for curious youngsters

From the 26th of April to the 1st of November, following in the footsteps of Eldorado in 2019 and Utopia in 2022, the travelling Planetarium of the Forum départemental des Sciences is coming back to bring it closer to children in the districts of Lille Metropole and the surrounding area.

For the 2024-2025 cultural season, as part of Fiesta, the team at the Forum départemental des Sciences is offering a special session dedicated to astronomy and the festive calendar. The travelling Planetarium will be visiting various venues throughout the season.
