15th edition of the International Forum about Cybersecurity (FIC)

5 to 7 April, Lille Grand Palais will host the 15th International Forum for Cybersecurity (FIC). Discover a glimpse of the program in this article.

Lille Metropole is delighted to announce the welcome of the FIC 15th edition, the leading European event about cybersecurity and digital trust. Launched by the French National Gendarmerie in 2007 and supported by Hauts-de-France Region and Lille Metropole, its uniqueness lies in bringing together cybersecurity related ecosystems, by pursuing a dual mission of tackling the contemporary cybersecurity challenges, and contributing to build a digital future compatible with European values and interests.

Both a reflection forum and a trade fair, the FIC allows digital technologies actors to exchange and share around operational and strategical stakes, while providing a space for buyers and suppliers of cybersecurity solutions to meet and network. Upholding an ethical vision of security, the FIC fosters innovation in numerical trust by supporting numerous innovations and startups.

The choic of the 2023 topic, “In Cloud we trust ?” followed the observation that 70% of the European datas are currently stored outside the continent, mostly by Americans hyperscalers. In a world undergoing international tensions and cyber-attacks, how can Europe escape this dependence situation?

Through technical demonstrations like attack demos, debates, talks and roundtables, special guests and public figures, like Jean-Gabriel Ganascia, head of CNRS ethic committee, Sorbonne University, Thierry Breton EU Commissioner Internal market, Ludivine Dedonder, Belgian Ministry of Defense,  Victor Gevers, Dutch hacker creator of the Dutch Institute for vulnerabilities divulgation, will discuss the matter among 520 other speakers.

The first e-sport competition dedicated to “ethical hacking” will also take place thanks to Lille Metropole support. Watch teams of engineering students and professionals go through a series of trials designed according to the main themes of cybersecurity, like bug bounty and forensic to name a few.

Do not miss this edition and join the 14 000 participants from 60 countries that gathered on the 20 000 m² of Lille Grand Palais last year.
